of the Police Magistrate acting as Coroner during the year

1899.

The case in which Liu-Fuk met his death

was one of attempted rescue of a prisoner and assault on the Special Constable and Three Excise Officers who were executing a search warrant for prepared opium in a portion of the New Territory near Kowloon City.
